Count von Hertzel has become engaged to Frau Linkmeyer's daughter, who is General Burkhalter's niece.
Kinch has spent some time in New Orleans, LA, and it was during his time there that he learned to appreciate French cooking.
One of the running gags in this episode has to do with Klink's amply stacked larder, which is full of champagne, caviar, and choice cuts of meat. Klink's extravagances in "living the good life" are also mentioned in many other episodes.
Both Sergeant Schultz and his wife Gretchen have the same clothing measurements, according to him.
Hogan reveals that the "little blond waitress" at the Hofbrau with whom Klink likes to flirt is an underground agent. Hogan also mentions a tall, blond manicurist at the Hauserhof while listing Klink's "girlfriends," but does not say if she is an agent, too.

The target of our heroes in this episode is a factory that builds mobile rocket launchers for the German military. In real life, this would have been the Meillerwagen transport and launch system for the V-2 ballistic missile, developed by Meiller-Kipper GmbH and built by Gollnow & Son. This came about from the bombing of Peenemunde in August of 1943. This takes place right around the time of the first deployments of the Meillerwagen, because Carter is surprised by its existence ("They're putting those things on wheels?!"). This fairly well fixes an early to mid-September 1943 date.

Count von Hertzel's wedding takes place at the Hauserhof in Hammelburg; yet the exterior visuals of the hotel have a sign that says, "Grindelwald Palace." This is the same exterior shot used in The Big Picture.
