Synopsis

Hogan and his men plan to destroy a gasoline station that has just been built in camp.

Story Notes

• This is the one hundred and twenty-fifth episode of the series, but is the one hundred and twenty-second to be shown on television and the fourth episode shown for the Fifth Season.
• The closing credits are overlaid with a Wisk advertisement. A bottle of the product is shown in the lower left corner of the screen.

Timeline Notes and Speculations

• This takes place near the end of the winter of 1943-44. The recognition sign for the underground is "Very cold tonight. Spring is definitely late this year." Klink's new gas pump is "for loading convoys headed for France," which are most likely supply convoys for German troops stationed along the Atlantic Wall. No Allied invasion from the sea has happened yet; nevertheless, the idea is present. A post-Dieppe date is thus implied, which also fits well with the presumed date of this episode.

Bloopers

• The scale model of Stalag 13 that Carter builds for Hogan conforms to the layout of the exterior locations for the series, instead of the map hanging in Klink's office. Given the fact that the stated capacity of Stalag 13 is 100 prisoners, though, Carter's model may be the more accurate of the two.
• Frans removes his jacket twice after entering the hofbrau.
