Pilot is a fictional character who appeared in the Hogan's Heroes episode, German Bridge is Falling Down. He was played by Forrest Compton.
Pilot is a United States Army Air Forces Major who is the pilot in the lead American B-17 bomber of a squadron which flies near Stalag 13 at the start of the episode. He and his co-pilot quickly notice the prisoners' lighted arrow (created by the prisoners' lit lighters) which points towards the nearby Adolf Hitler bridge, which is the bombers' target. He then leads the other planes towards the bridge, then leads the attack as he promises his plane's bombadier a three day pass if he could get them close enough to hit the target. At the end of the bombing run, he will lead the squadron back to England.
The attack itself is a failure as the bridge is not destroyed by the planes' bombs, only damaged, which leads to Hogan and his men to come up with their own plan to destroy the bridge later in the episode.
