Gruppenführer Herman Freitag is a fictional character who appeared in the Hogan's Heroes episode, Two Nazis for the Price of One. He was played by Alan Oppenheimer. He was born in Umgeinpfahre, Lower Saxony, Germany on November 26, 1893, and was killed at Stalag 13 in Klink's office on 16 March 1944, by Mannheim.
His uniform is of a Reichsführer which was much higher ranked than a Gruppenführer. There is a high posibility that this figure refers to real Gruppenführer https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_Freitag_(Offizier), which each was born and died 1 year before fictional Freitag.
