Anna Gebhart, aka "Axis Annie", is a German broadcaster in the pay of Hitler's government who during the war, broadcasts to Allied countries, saying messages like "Give up" and "Play It smart" to lower morale.
Anna also interviews POWs to get them to say how Germans observe the Geneva convention at all times. When she visits Stalag 13, she gets Colonel Klink to offer privileges to those who cooperate with her. Hogan recognizes her however, and tells the men to not go along with it.
Anna Gebhart can even with ease coerce the Gestapo into cooperating with her thanks to her high ranking acquaintances, such as Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. Hogan takes advantage of this and gets her to take him, LeBeau and Newkirk to a local restaurant in exchange for recordings of interviews, (which are later destroyed by Carter and Kinch). Hogan does this to pass papers on to an allied agent.
Anna Gerbhart is a quiet and dangerous woman who never loses her cool, and even Hogan grudgingly admires her cleverness in how she does things. Her fate after the war is unknown, but it is likely she is tried and convicted as a war criminal.
